Include external links to other sites and internal links to other pages. Having a clear outline of the site before you start to build it out will save you a lot of time and frustration.

Before you purchase a domain name think about what your Domain Name will be. Make a list of potential names. Keep them as short and relevant to your buisness. It should be easy to remember, and if applicable use a .com TLD. Check your list of potential Domanin names or URLs through your browser to see if anyone is currently using it. Once you've narrowed down your list check it's availablity for purchase through your website hosting company.
